Roses and Lace Bed and Breakfast in the Birmingham, Alabama area, is listed on the National Registry of Historic Places as The Elisha Robinson House. The B&B is nestled in the little town of Ashville, AL, convenient to both Birmingham and Gadsden, just off I-59 and I-20.
Three guest rooms, with antiques and claw foot tubs, await your arrival. A full-cooked breakfast is served each morning. Fireplaces in the parlor and dining room—or rocking chairs on the wide wraparound porches—can quickly become your spot to sit and relax. Ashville has an amazing number of historic buildings, and the surrounding area is a good example of the pristine beauty of the Appalachian foothills. The house and gardens are also ideal for small weddings and receptions.
What’s nearby? Talladega NASCAR SuperSpeedway, with their Performance and Racing Driving Schools, is close at hand. World-class Robert Trent Jones golf courses, fishing in Henry Neely Lake or the Coosa River, and a number of historic Covered Bridges are only a short drive away. There’s also the Barber Motorsports Museum, a motorcycle and antique car museum that’s a hidden gem, as well as the Porsche Driving Experience. (Little known fact: when Barber Motorsports went to the Guggenheim Museum in NYC, the Guggenheim experienced their highest grossing exhibit ever.) We can also direct you to antique stores, museums, a nearby winery, great shopping and fabulous restaurants.
For the business traveler, we have free wireless internet, desks in every room, and fax machine onsite. For a small group planning or meeting together, we have room discounts and meeting space.
